Featured in this image is the brilliant reflection and emission complex NGC 1977-75-73. Starlight is reflected from fine dust particles of heavier elements which then shine against the background of emission clouds and sparkling young stars. The tapestry of brilliant colors make this object one of the most spectacular and aesthetically pleasing objects in the winter sky.
