M3 - Incorporating DSS Data

This is an extremely deep view of M3 and surrounding area.  The luminance (brightness) information comes from DSS data, taken with the 48 inch Oschin Shmidt Telescope.  The color information comes from the image taken earlier with the TMB 203 F/7.

So far, I have been able to identify 116 of the 132 suspected galaxies displayed in this shot.

This object is presented in Ha/RGB, as well as Ha and colorized Ha.  It is comprised of the Christmas Tree Cluster, The Cone Nebula, and the Foxfur Nebula.


NGC6791 - Open Cluster in Lyra

This is a really interesting ancient open cluster in Lyra.  Taken 6/16/2006 with the TOA-150 and ST-2000XM.
